Woman Walking in Forest

What is Project Wander?

Project Wander is an exploration initiative created to bring adventure, spontaneity, friendship, and lifelong memories into the lives of the participants. In tandem with this concept, it also functions as a social experiment. Upon being selected, none of the 6 adventurers know of one another. Though their personalities and temperaments will differ greatly, the hope for PW is to give people a space to be... well, human. A place to escape the everyday burdens of life, the nagging of social media, and to use each trip to break down preconceived notions and cliques that each one may have had. I want this to, quite simply, be a nursery for sprouting and reviving the best traits of humanity.

A love for nature, an openness to the unexpected, a willingness to adapt and meet new people- and above all, the hunger to explore the world with more senses than just our eyes.

How does it work?

Project Wander is free to all who partake in its journey. I believe that in order for a true adventure to maintain its authenticity, the toll it takes on its subjects cannot be financial. However, we all know that nothing comes free in this world, and that is, in part, the reason why these expeditions have ceased. Therefore, I have asked for the support of many of the small businesses along our routes, in hopes to make lasting friendships between our crew and theirs. For it is the stops and the people along the way that change lives and perspectives- never the destination. These kind businesses will be added to our sponsorship page, whether they give a night of lodging, or hot dogs for the crew. As we add to our blog and instagram page, I hope to shed light on these many, independently run jewels of our country.

Planning Travels

Where are we going?

Hopefully, everywhere. Though Covid has thrown a wrench in many of our plans, our next trip is titled,"Beautiful California," and explores everywhere from Big Sur, to Napa valley, and everywhere in between. Other places include Joshua tree NP, Mojave desert, Death Valley, Eastern sierras, Yosemite, Lassen Volcanic, and much, much more.
